An average conversion rate of 10 percent brings high quality visitors. PriceRunner is providing an average conversion rate of 10 percent and outperforming other price comparison sites for Barshield Services Ltd, who act as a marketing and purchasing agency in the UK for www.pricestorm.com and also own www.xlshop.com. XLShop.com is an online retail site where consumers can buy computer, printer and consumables and Pricestorm sells ink cartridges, memory and data storage consumables online. Both brands are listed on www.PriceRunner.co.uk and have seen a consistent growth in the number of consumers purchasing products as a result of following product links on the PriceRunner website.

Will Murray, marketing director for Barshield Services says: “Both XLShop and Pricestorm are listed on a number of price comparison sites but PriceRunner is the best performing site. Over the last three months, the average conversion rate from PriceRunner has been 10 percent, which is excellent” Barshield Services measures results by asking customers where they came from and by tracking url tags. “Both XLShop and Pricestorm are receiving good quality traffic through PriceRunner,” says Will Murray. He continues to say that while conversion rates vary from month to month, PriceRunner is the best performing site overall, compared to other sites that the brands are listed on. “It also demonstrates that we offer our customers excellent value for money because PriceRunner lists retailers with the cheapest price first.” Gary Goodman, marketing director for PriceRunner comments: “PriceRunner is an attractive proposition for retailers as they get access to consumers who are actively looking to buy and only pay if a potential customer clicks through to their site. Another contributing factor to high conversion rates is the sheer volume of retailers that PriceRunner lists and its policy to list all retailers that it finds. Thousands of consumers use the site to make their product purchasing decisions and PriceRunner has a growing and loyal user base, and because it compares prices for both online retailers and high street stores, consumers get a complete and unbiased overview.”
